Instructions
  1. Grease well a wide and deep microwave safe bowl with oil or butter.
  2. In another bowl Sift 1 cup Aata, Chocolate Powder, Baking Soda and Baking Powder for 3 times.
  3. Spread chopped walnuts in wide plate and dust 1 tbsp aata and mix with hand. So that walnuts should coated with aata well. Keep aside.
  4. Now take another big bowl and mix well oil and buttermilk. Add sugar and mix well again.
  5. Fold dry ingredients well.
  6. Add coated walnuts and mix well again.
  7. Now pour this in to greased bowl.
  8. And microwave for 10 minutes on high. Check with the help of knife or tooth pick, if not cooked keep it for another 2-3 minutes.
  9. Now if yo want to eat it dry cool it down for 5 minutes and then remove the cake from the sides of the bowl with the help of a sharp knife. Flip over a wired rack or grill and tap a bit the cake will come out easily. Let it cool down for further 5-10 minutes and then slice it.
  10. Store in an airtight container and enjoy with tea of coffee.
  11. You may also coat this cake with chocolate sauce. For this boil 0.5 cup mil and pour over 0.25 cup of choco chips (or 2 tbsp coco powder). Mix well until smooth. Now pour this sauce over the warm cake. And garnish with roughly chopped toasted walnuts.
  12. Enjoy.
Recipe Notes
  • Make sure your baking powder and baking soda are not too old otherwise cake will not rise well.
  • It is advised to sift all the dry ingredients together for 2-3 times for fluffy and soft result, as it helps to incorporate air in batter.
  • Keep the preheated oven and greased mould ready before proceeding for cake batter.
  • Pour batter immediately in mould and then put in the preheated oven.
  • Do not let mix stand outside of oven for long, it may result in hard cake.
  • Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature before use.
  • You may top the cake with chocolate sauce also and serve.
  • You may decorate the cake in your own way.

Eggless Whole Wheat Choco Walnut Cake in Microwave


Ingredients
Whole Wheat/ Aata 1 cup
Choco Powder 0.25 cup
Baking Soda 0.5 tsp
Baking Powder 0.5 tsp
Sugar 0.5 cup
Walnuts 1 cup (Finely Chopped)
Oil 0.5 cup
Buttermilk 1 cup


Method

  • Take a wide and deep microwave safe bowl and grease well with oil or butter.
  • In another bowl Sift Aata + Chocolate Powder + Baking Soda + Baking Powder for 3 times. 
  • In the third time add walnuts while sifting so that walnuts gets the coating of aata. 
  • By this all the dry ingredients will go down and the aata coated walnuts will remain in the strainer. Keep aside.
  • Now in another bowl take oil and buttermilk, Mix well.
  • Add sugar and mix well.
  • Now add the dry ingredients and mix well.
  • Add coated walnuts and mix well.
  • Now pour this in to greased bowl and microwave for 10 minutes on high.
  • Check with the help of knife or tooth pick, if not cooked keep it for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Now with the help of a sharp knife remove the cake from the sides of the bowl.
  • Flip over a wired rack or grill and tap a bit the cake will come out easily. 
  • Let it cool for 5-10 minutes.
  • Cut when cool enough.
  • Serve warm.

Tips
Check if your baking powder is not too old otherwise cake will not rise well. 
You may top the cake with chocolate sauce as well while serving.
