Add aata and fry until brown in color or it starts leaving some ghee or until a nice aroma of aata comes at low to medium flame. (It will take approximately 15 minutes.)
Add water and mix well for no lumps and keep stirring it on high to medium flame until thick it will take only few minutes.
Add sugar and raisin and cook for another 2 minutes. Cover the pan and switch off the gas.
Garnish with almond powder and pistachio and serve immediately.

Fry aata in ghee until brown in color, have patience as it take some time and keep it stirring otherwise it may burn.
After adding water keep it stirring otherwise it will be lumpy.
Adjust sugar as per your taste.
You may also use jaggery instead of sugar.
Vegan may substitute ghee with shortening or vegetable oil.
You may also add any kind of nuts of your choice.
You may also add cardamom powder, black pepper or clove to halwa.
You should avoid nuts if you are suffering from cold and cough.
