Instructions
  1. First of all, wash and soak chickpea overnight. Boil them with salt to taste. Keep aside.
  2. Wash and cook white rice. Keep aside.
  3. Now heat ghee/oil in a pan or kadhai. Fry broken cashew till golden brown in color. Keep aside.
  4. Now in same ghee/ oil fry 1 large sliced onion till golden and crisp. Keep aside.
  5. Now in same ghee/ oil cracker hing, Jeera and whole spices (Black Pepper, Clove, Cinnamon, Cardamom, Mace, Star Anise)
  6. Now add 1 chopped onion, green chilli and ginger. Fry.
  7. Now add strained chickpea (Choley) and fry.
  8. Now add Coriander powder and red chilli powder. Mix n fry.
  9. Now add beaten curd and mix well.
  10. Add half cup boiled chickpea water and cook on high flame.
  11. Now add cooked white rice and mix lightly. (Be careful not to break them)
  12. Garnish with fried cashew and onion. Cover and let it cook for another 5 minutes at low flame.
  13. Switch off the flame and serve hot. Enjoy!

  1. Check the recipe to cook White Rice.
  2. You may also use leftover Rice or Chole to make this recipe.
  3. You may use the drained water from rice as a starch or it can be fed to an infant.
  4. Adjust salt and chili according to your taste and tolerance.
  5. Be careful while mixing cooked rice as it might mash, to avoid mix with light hand.
