Recipe- Dahi Vada Chaat

Ingredients
For Vada
  • 1cup Moong Daal(Yellow/ Dhuli Moong) (Washed and Soaked 4-5 hours)
  • 0.5tsp Salt
  • ToFry Oil
For Chaat
Instructions
  1. Take soaked and drained moong daal in a grinder and grind to smooth paste using just required water.
  2. Remove batter in a wide bowl and add salt, mix well and beat for few seconds in one direction.
  3. Meanwhile heat appe pan and drizzle some oil and make all vadas. Alternatively you may deep fry vadas on medium heat til golden brown in color. And soak them in lukewarm water for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Now for chaat, beat curd to smooth texture and add bhuna jeera powder, red chili powder, salt and 1 tbsp sweet chutney. Beat well and keep aside.
  5. Now squeeze vadas gently to remove water and soak them in curd for atleast 10 minutes before serving.
  6. For serving, take 2-3 pc vada in a bowl, pour 2-3 tbsp curd over it and garnish with sweet chutney, green chutney, pinch of salt, red chili powder, bhuna jeera powder and finally with dried mint. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
Recipe Notes
  • You may also add urad daal while soaking with moond daal.
  • Grind daal to smooth thick paste, use very little amount of water (Just required).
  • You may also dep fry vadas, here i use appe pan, to give a healthier twist to recipe.
  • Be gentle while squeezing vadas, it might break, if you applied more pressure.
  • you may garnish according to your taste.
