Recipe- Dry Fruit Chikki
“An all day snacks- Brittle bites of nuts in jaggery syrup.”

Ingredients
Instructions
  1. Grease one side of a plastic bag (Non printed side) and keep it on a plate. Keep aside.
  2. Heat jaggery, sugar and water in a pan. Let it boil on high flame.
  3. When it starts boiling, reduce the flame to medium. And let it boil till thick consistency.
  4. When the mix starts looking thick and dark in color, add all chopped nuts and mix well.
  5. Pour this mix over the greased plastic bag and spread in a medium thick layer. Let it dry completely.
  6. When it cools down completely and dries up well, lift it with your hand and remove plastic bag.
  7. Break and serve. You can store this in a airtight container for weeks.
Recipe Notes
  • You can take your choice of nuts.
  • Here i used Almond, Cashew, Walnut, Raisin and Dates.
  • Addition of sugar gives a shiny look to chikki but if you do not want to use sugar, you may omit this from recipe.
  • To remove the chikki easily use a greased (non printed side) plastic bag to spread the mix.
  • This can be stored in an airtight container for weeks.
