Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a wok, fry chopped onion, peanuts, curry leaves, whole red chili and tomato. Sprinkle salt to taste, cover the wok and lower the flame. Let it cook for 10-12 minutes or until tender.
  2. Check when tomato and onion are cooked well, switch off the flame and let it cool down for another 10 minutes.
  3. Grind to smooth and serve with idli, dosa, uttpam, pongal etc.
Recipe Notes
  • Adjust chili and salt to taste, to make it more spicy you may add more red chili.
  • If serving to kids adjust chili and salt as per their tolerance.
  • Grind well to smooth texture, try not to add water, if required gradually add 1-2 tbsp to grind.
